A couple of weeks ago, my friend Steph very kindly gave me six MAC empty packages so I could do a Back to Mac and exchange for a free lipstick. I wanted to get cremesheen in ravishing, a gorgeous peach-coral colour; unfortunately, the store that I went to didn’t have any in stock. In the end, I decided to get a matte lipstick in russian red.
I had been quite wary of red lipsticks; the only person I know who fashions red lips on a regular basis is Steph — and she wears them brilliantly, I might add. Since our skin tones are quite similar, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try. I had a previous terrible experience with a friend’s red lipstick that made me look like the Joker from Batman, so I got a MAC retractable lip brush along with russian red to prevent that from happening again.
The other wonderful thing that I got last week was Soap and Glory’s cream and soaper hand rack. When I lived in London, I never thought to buy anything from Soap & Glory, and this set made me regret not trying some of their products earlier!
I’ve been using The Body Shop’s wild rose hand cream for a while now, but it always leaves my hands feeling rough and dry. The Soap & Glory hand food cream, however, moisturises my hands thoroughly — I only need to apply it once and it keeps my hands feeling soft and smooth for hours. The hand wash is also really gentle and doesn’t dry out your hands at all.
I’m absolutely in love with Soap & Glory now. I think the hand food cream might have overtaken L’Occitane’s hand creams as my favourite!
